Junior / Entry-Level Java Developer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Java Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications under the guidance of more senior developers. This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented Java code.

Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of features and applications.

Fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and participate in debugging.

Assist with writing unit tests and possibly integration tests.
-
Use version control (e.g. Git) for source code management.

Participate in code reviews and learn coding best practices.

Work with databases: design queries, interact with relational databases (SQL), use ORM (e.g. Hibernate or JPA).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, DevOps) to deliver software.

Be open to learning new technologies, frameworks, and practices.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

0-2 years of experience in Java development (could include internships, university projects, or freelance work).

Solid understanding of core Java concepts (OOP, collections, exception handling, threading basics).

Familiarity with one or more of the following frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, or other Java EE / Jakarta EE technologies.

Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database fundamentals.

Understanding of RESTful services / APIs.

Good problem-solving ability.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills:

Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Basic understanding of application performance, security, and best practices.
